What does Angler Base do?
It measures the water right now and shows it in numbers: waves, current, pressure, water temperature, visibility and how deep the bottom is at your casting distance. It calculates how much sinker weight you need, how far you can reach, and whether your tackle suits the conditions. It does not say the fish will bite; it shows the state of the water and whether your tackle suits it.
Does it guarantee a catch?
No. Angler Base does not guarantee a catch; it shows the conditions and the likelihood. No one can guarantee nature — we simply put the measured conditions in front of you. The rest is down to your skill.
Are my spots and location shared with others?
No. The fishing spots and notes you save are stored on your device only; they are never sent to our servers and are never shared with anyone. Spot privacy is a principle for us.
Do I need an internet connection?
Yes. An internet connection is needed for up-to-date weather/marine data and depth measurement; the solunar calendar and field tools work offline. If you decline location permission, location-based features won't work, but you can pick a spot on the map by hand.
Which areas and how many species does it cover?
It covers more than 100 sea species along Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts. For each species it provides a real photo, legal size and closed-season information; you see the species that stand out for your area.
Are the legal-size and closed-season details exact?
This information is for guidance only. Before fishing, you should check the current official regulations of your national fisheries authority. Our aim is to support lawful and conscious angling.
Is my data safe?
Your location is used only momentarily for conditions, depth and weather calculations; it is not stored permanently and is not linked to your identity. For details, see our Privacy Policy page.
Is the app paid?
One part is free with no time limit: the solunar calendar, moonlight and tides; compass, torch and fish alarm; fishing regulations. You pay nothing for these.
Measured conditions, depth, field calculations, species profiles and the tracking module come with a subscription. If you subscribe for the first time you get a 14-day free trial; cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. Current prices are shown in the app and on Google Play.
